What ShePrep is

ShePrep is a set of pregnancy and fertility calculators — due dates, ovulation windows, growth percentiles, feeding amounts and more — paired with plain-language guides on trying to conceive, pregnancy, and the first year of a baby's life. Every calculator runs in your browser rather than on a server, and every guide is written by the ShePrep team and names the sources it draws on.

Where the information comes from

We source claims from national guidance bodies and peer-reviewed evidence: the NHS and NICE in the UK, ACOG and the CDC in the United States, RANZCOG in Australia and New Zealand, the SOGC in Canada, Tommy's, the World Health Organization, and the Cochrane Library. Every source is cited with the date we read it, and where a claim can only be traced back to another content website rather than one of these bodies, we don't publish it. How we handle country differences

Advice on some topics — runny eggs, deli meat, which fish are safe — genuinely differs between the UK, the US, Australia and elsewhere. Rather than pick one country's answer and present it as universal, we show you which country's guidance you're reading, name the body behind it, and let you switch to the guidance that applies where you receive your care.
